Orpheo Canada (Audiotélécom inc.) boasts a series of impressive accomplishments that have earned the company kudos especially in the greater Québec City area. For the Musée de la civilisation, we contributed to the design and completion of “Les chemins du Moyen Âge,” the young people’s visit experience adapted from the exhibit entitled “Gratia Dei: A Journey Through the Middle Ages,” and of two other major exhibitions – namely, “Diamants” [Diamonds] and “Talons et tentations” [Heels and temptations – about that particular type of women’s shoe ware]. The Montreal Biodôme tapped our services for the design and production of two themed visits – one for grown-ups and the other for children – which demonstrates our capacity to adapt contents according to the target public.
Translated into eight languages, the guided tour of Toronto’s Casa Loma, which draws upwards of 230 000 visitors, has been available on 600 of our audioguide devices since June 2000. This project also stands out on account of our skill at planning and designing digital upgrades.
Orpheo Canada (Audiotélécom inc.), a member of the Orpheo Network, is active primarily in Quebec and Ontario but has completed assignments across Canada and the United States. It has also been a partner to a number of projects abroad. Thanks to the Orpheo Network, more than 45 000 Orpheo audioguides have been used to equip some of the world’s most prestigious sites, including: the Empire State Building (New York), Musée du Quai Branly (Paris), the Schönbrunn Palace (Vienna), Prado Museum (Madrid), the Library of Congress (Washington DC), the Sydney (Australia) Olympic Stadium, the Kremlin Museum – and, closer to home – the Musée de la civilisation de Québec, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Canadian Museum of Civilizations (Gatineau), etc.)
